Batuk Bhojan

Rakesh Rajdev, through his NGO Kanuda Mitra Mandal, has organized Batuk Bhojan programs, a traditional practice where meals are offered to children as a form of service and blessing. These events are arranged on auspicious days and festivals, bringing together underprivileged children who are served freshly prepared meals in a respectful and joyous setting. The initiative goes beyond feeding; it emphasizes cultural values of gratitude, care, and the belief that serving children is equivalent to serving the divine. For many families living in poverty, such occasions provide children with nutritious food they may otherwise lack, while also allowing them to experience the festive spirit. Volunteers take part wholeheartedly in cooking, serving, and interacting with the children, creating an environment of warmth and inclusiveness. The program reflects the NGO’s aim to combine cultural traditions with meaningful social support, ensuring that every child feels valued and cared for.
